Protocol Selection

Through a random selection process, PIs are selected to work one-on-one with the Research Compliance Monitor to perform in-depth reviews of their study and to ensure accurate and consistent protocol performance.ÌýA list of all active humanÌýsubjectsÌýresearch studies is compiledÌýand maintainedÌýby the Research Compliance MonitorÌýthrough IRBNet records and in conjunction with departments campus-wide.ÌýEach quarter, approximately 10% of PIs from a selection of departments are randomized into the PAM program.ÌýAll active human subjects research protocols are included in the randomization process, regardless of their IRB review level (e.g., exempt, expedited, and full board).ÌýÌý

If Your Study is Selected for the PAM ProgramÌý

  • If SelectedÌýyou will be notified via email by the Research Compliance Monitor that you have been randomly selected to participate in the PAM process and will be asked to set up a time to meetÌýwith the Research Compliance Monitor within a two-week period.Ìý

  • Re-SelectionÌýcan occur if the PI is randomized into the PAM programÌýin a subsequent academic quarter.Ìý
